Jordan beat China, Lebanon loses to New Zealand

Jordan with a big win over China, 86-62 while Lebanon lost to New Zealand, 69-67 in Day 2 of Window 6 in the 2019 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers.

Gilas Pilipinas is now tied with Jordan and Lebanon with a 6-5 record and only 2 of these teams will qualify for the FIBA World Cup in China.

Here are the following scenarios in the final day of the FIBA Qualifiers:
Remaining Games
-Philippines vs Kazakhstan
-Jordan vs New Zealand
-Lebanon vs South Korea
-Japan vs Qatar
-Iran vs Australia

To Qualify for the 2019 FIBA World Cup, Philippines has to be in the Top 3 of Group F or be the best 4th placed team:
-Philippines still has a slim chance to be in the Top 3 of Group F:
Scenario 1: Gilas win, Japan and Iran loss
Scenario 2: Gilas win, Iran win, Japan loss

Both these scenarios are unlikely, since Japan is on a roll with 7 straight wins and Qatar just lost to Gilas Pilipinas by 38 points.

-For Philippines to get the best 4th placed spot:
Scenario 1: Gilas win, Lebanon and Jordan loss
Scenario 2: Gilas win, Lebanon loss, Jordan win
Scenario 3: Gilas win, Jordan win, Lebanon loss
Will be determined by quotient tiebreak
Scenario 4: Gilas win, Jordan win, Lebanon win
Scenario 5: Gilas loss, Jordan loss, Lebanon loss

To avoid complication in the standings and our qualification be determined by quotient, Gilas Pilipinas must win over Kazakhstan and either Lebanon or Jordan must lose their last game.

Good luck Gilas Pilipinas!
