Marcus Douthit signed until 2014 Asian Games

Gilas Pilipinas recently signed naturalized player Marcus Douthit to a contract extension until 2014. There will be 2 big tournaments in 2014 in which Douthit maybe included in the line-up, the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup from August 30 to September 14, 2014 in Spain and the 2014 Asian Games from September 19 to October 4, 2014 in Incheon, South Korea.

Unless Gilas Pilipinas can find a replacement for Marcus Douthit and go through the process of naturalization a few months before the 2014 FIBA World Cup, Douthit will play for our country in Spain and South Korea in 2014.

Who do you think is a good candidate to replace Marcus Douthit as our naturalized player? (Of course this assumes that the new candidate for naturalization has not yet played for a national basketball team for another Country and he has to accept dual citizenship like Douthit)

  1. Tyrus Thomas of Charlotte Bobcats. hindi na inextend ang contract niya sa Bobcats. He’s a versatile Big man who can shoot midrange and attack the basket with his athletesism. he is 6’11 so pwedeng pwede!
