If the naturalization of JaVale McGee and Andray Blatche pushes through before the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup, one player from Gilas Pilipinas will surely be replaced by either McGee or Blatche and that is Marcus Douthit because in FIBA Tournaments, only 1 naturalized player can play per tournament. for me, it’s better for Marcus to play for Gilas Pilipinas. Why? Let’s say, JaVale and Andray are far better player than Marcus, BUT, neither of those two can match the team chemistry that the team has and Marcus has. He has been with team Gilas for many years already, better team chemistry wins games. Talent alone doesn’t. 🙂 Pero siyempre, wala naman tayong control. So, Bahala na sila magdecide. Just saying. 🙂
neither blatche or mcgee can guarantee our team to win….and besides their loyalty to our flag is not yet proven.while marcus has nothing more to prove.he’s done so much for the team.kung ganun lang na paplitan na rin lng si marcus at ipasok either blatche or mcgee, sana nung maaga pa sana para makita natin ang perfprmance nila for the team.i love to see marcus playing in the olympics!
