Philippines will not send a basketball team in the 2018 Asian Games as posted by Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas or SBP.

As previously announced by the PBA and SBP, the core of Rain or Shine Elasto Painters coached by Yeng Guiao was supposed to be the representative of Philippines in the Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia next month but just after a few hours of that announcement, SBP pulled out of the Asian Games. This means no Gilas Pilipinas in the 2018 Asian Games.
