Three Official Statements were released today regarding the participation of Jordan Clarkson in the 2018 Asian Games: 1 from NBA, 1 from Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas or SBP and 1 joint statement by the NBA and SBP.

According to NBA Spokesman Tim Frank, Jordan Clarkson cannot play for Gilas Pilipinas in the 2018 Asian Games since NBA Players can only participate in FIBA Tournaments.
Philippines will not send a basketball team in the 2018 Asian Games as posted by Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas or SBP.

According to Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) president Ricky Vargas, Fil-Am Jordan Clarkson was included in the 18-man Gilas Pilipinas Player Pool submitted for the 2018 Asian Games to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia next month.
