Gilas Pilipinas gets back at Cambodia, regains SEA Games Gold
Gilas Pilipinas defeated host Cambodia, 80-69 in the finals of the 2023 SEA games Basketball to capture the Gold Medal. Justin Brownlee again led Philippines with 23 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 assists.
Chris Newsome played well and contributed 16 points and 4 assists while Marcio Lassiter with 10 points and 5 rebounds. Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser, CJ Perez and Christian Standhardinger with 9 points each.
Gilas Pilipinas lost to Cambodia
Host Cambodia with a big win over Gilas Pilipinas, 79-68 in the 2023 SEA Games held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Christian Standhardinger led Philippines with 14 points and with 11 rebounds.
Chris Newsome contributed 11 points while Just Brownlee was held to just 10 points. Gilas played without Calvin Oftana who suffered an injury in their 1st game against Malaysia.
