Did you see Marcus Dougtit was having difficulty w/o a legitimate reliever as center? lalo na kapag na foul trouble agad siya in early games. Dapat makuha natin Javale McGee 7’0 at sina Greg Slaughter 6’11 Jun Fajardo 6’10 & Japeth Aguiilar 6’10 with this tall players we have a good match up against 7 footers of China & other opponents in Fiba Asia. Japeth Aguilar is a high leaping player that can intimidate other big players. Jun Fajardo is tall with a big wing span that can block shots & rebound. Sina Kelly Williams, Danny Seigle, Jay Washington are also tall & good wingman that can shoot three point shot too. Idagdag na ninyo si Arwind Santos and include Ryan Reyes as point guard. Please remain those who played hero sa Jones Cup Tournament such as Jeff Chan, Gary David, Sol Mercado and the current Jones Cup MVP of the tournament L.A Tenorio
Sorry i forgot to mention Gabe Norwood who played very well in 2012 Jones Cup, He really matured as a national player. Hitting big three point shot in every game. More power to Smart Gilas team Pilipinas if we got the gold medal from Jones Cup tournament, it’s not impossible to win the gold in Fiba Asia 2012.

I agree 100 percent. Sayang at hindi kasama si Marcio Lassiter ayaw yata pahiram ng san miguel. Si Eman okay sana pang relieve kay Marcus kaya lang mabagal at kulang sa tapang at aggressiveness.

The players who made for the Jones Cup Title should be retained since each of them has the heart of a champion. They played terrific basketball. Most of their exciting games during the Jones Cup were products of their untiring efforts, moral support to one another, courage and self-esteem. Villanuena is a real guy. He is strong and willing to sacrifice and play for the country. He just have to step up and practice free throw shooting. I believe coaches could held him. The same thing for JR Reyes, Baracael, Lanete, Mercado and David. Matt Roser is a new guy but I observed that he was a team player and very supportive to the team even if he was not given time to play. I know the suggested players have shown exciting games in the PBA but, they did not bring championship for the Philippines.

I agree except for Matt Rosser who is not yet ready for the coming FIBA Asia. Maybe next time. One thing I observed from the recent Jones Cup – 3 point shooting overide our height dissadvantage so another deadly shooter from the 3 point area will be a great help. Sayang si James Yap or Caguioa who can also break a defense. Pahiram naman kayo kahit for FIBA Asia lang.
