Batang Gilas bounced back from their opening loss by beating Iraq, 96-79 in the 2016 FIBA Asia U18 Championship held in Tehran, Iran. Jolo Mendoza led Philippines with 25 points and was 7/14 from 3.
Joshua Sinclair with 21 points and 12 rebounds while John Vincent Gallego contributed 12 points and 6 assists. Ihab Al-Zuhairi led Iraq with 39 points and 24 rebounds.
Fran Yu scored 10 points. Philippines with 15 steals. Batang Gilas now with a 1-1 record.
