Basketball is a game of tall athlete.Weve been in baskketball compatition for more than 6 decades but never learn and continue to recruit gd small players.Wake up Phiippines basketball officials is been a long time you should be recruiting good big and tall players if you want to succeed internationally.Gd small plauer is no match to gd tall n big player. On the roster gary david is a dismay eversince the fiba asian cup,I just dont know why he is included in the roster. The caochng staff needs to learn real coaching.Start fielding your big guys to bring out their full potential.THe coach choit reyes has no coaching skills he needs to attend a coaching clinic.

We should focus more on how we can change our old system. Best ex.China and Korea they are same as asians but they have good system. Our taller players should learn to play as shooting guards and have a good ball handling skills that can penetrate and shoot outside, agility is the key that our taller players should posses to become more competetive. Today some of our players are fast however they stay as forward, power forward or center. Just imagine Andrei Blatch can bring the ball down and hit a 3 point or slash inside. If Slaughter,Fajardo and other taller players can handle the ball inside and outside and have good agilty we have a chance in world cup.Aguilar agility is better but dont have a dribbling abilty. If you watch the game betwèen Gilas & Australian their are fast even their center and take note basketball in Aussie is not that big.I think its time for us to develope our bigger players dribbling skills and their agility.Atleast we put our 6’2 and 6’5 in point guard position and our forward should atleast 6’6 or 6’7.We need to change the old system that our forward will always post up and can’t carry the ball that much.Dribbling skill, agility and good shooting ability will be the key for our taller players to dominate and they should work hard to posses this ability. We should dominate first Asian Basketball.Focus on how to be on top in Asia and we have chance in world cup.I know were happy that we are back again in world basketball but we miss the biggest goal and that is dominate asian basketball. I dont really understand why we didnt bring our complete line up vs Iran on FIBA Asia.We finished 3rd by defeating China, that was very a close game and it could be the other way around if Paul lee didnt made the 3 free throw. Imagine China players are very young and still manage to play good basketball.

    Putik na injury yan oh..

Losing Castro means Losing the only Advantage that the Philippines had..and that is speed..

Kung wala si Castro..average lang ang speed ng mga players ng ibang Gilas players..meaning wala na tayong advantage sa kalaban..Patay tayo dyan since we are at disadvantage sa height..nakakainis talaga
