Paras, Ravena, Teng and Quinahan to play in 2017 FIBA 3×3 World Cup

Kobe Paras, Kiefer Ravena, Jeron Teng and JR Quinahan will represent Philippines in the 2017 FIBA 3×3 World Cup to be held from June 17-21 in Nantes, France.

The youngest in the team, Kobe Paras played in the FIBA 3×3 U18 World Cups in 2013 and 2015 and also with 2 dunk titles under his belt. He is currently back in the country after leaving Creighton University.

Kiefer Ravena and Jeron Teng also represented Philippines in an Exhibition Game in the 2015 FIBA 3×3 All-Stars. Kiefer Ravena had a short stint with Alab Pilipinas in the ABL and a developmental player for the Texas Legends in the NBA D-League while Jeron Teng will play for Flying V in the PBA D-League after leading La Salle Green Archers to a championship last year.

JR Quinahan replaced Raymar Jose.

    Gilas should have these guys for the senior team. I don’t understand why we always carry these old guys.
    Ravena + paras would be great for developmental purposes and could help in spot minutes.

    I thought Gilas revamped their “program”. I hope they have better plans for Asia basket. SEABA would’ve been the perfect time to get some minutes for young players and/or potential prospects for intl tourneys.

      Probably because the goal for now is the World Cup and all the players in the current pool will be at their prime by then and Ravena Kobe etc won’t.

      Still I agree that somehow they should have been included. Even Parks.
