Montenegro defeated Gilas Pilipinas, 102-87 in a tune-up game before the FIBA World Cup. Nikola Vucevic led Montenegro with 18 points while Jordan Clarkson led Philippines in scoring with 27 points but committed 8 turnovers.
Dwight Ramos finished with 13 points, 2 rebounds and 3 steals. June Mar Fajardo scored 19 points but only with 3 rebounds and was in foul trouble in the 1st 3 quarters.
Scottie Thompson contributed 8 points while AJ Edu with 6 points and 8 rebounds. Rhenz Abando and Japeth Aguilar contributed 5 points each.
Gilas led at the end of the 1st quarter 19-16 but Montenegro led at the half 44-42 and pulled away in the 4th quarter.
