Why Chot Reyes should be retained as Gilas Pilipinas Coach?
We all have been watching and reading comments by many so called experts calling on the resignation of Gilas Pilipinas Head Coach Chot Reyes.
We would like to hear the side of others who want to retain Chot Reyes as Gilas Pilipinas Coach. Why should he be retained as Gilas Pilipinas Coach?
A comment that we read is the experience by Chot Reyes in both the FIBA World Cup and Asian Games will be a great help in future tournaments as long as he learned something from it. Another issue is if we will have a new Head Coach, the players will need to learn a new system again and we do not know if that system will work against our opponents in Asia and the World.

i think its now the time to consider having a certain amount of period for coaches in this line of special position, where we face the international field of battles in basketball. Frankly, Chot has been in that position as a coach for quite a while, thus, the past mistakes should’ve been fairly overcome by now considering as a coach you devise moves to counter the other team but watching the games year after year, i think not much has changed. It’s always to give the best man of the year the ball and hope he makes the best game out of it. We always depend on prayers or “bahala na” tactics, when it should’ve been the coach that manages when to utilize his players best or in what way to use them best. But it always ends up to giving the responsibilities to the captain of the team to work with what he has and to motivate the players he has on the field and hope for the best.
Also, it should be a rising statistic, from being down to upwards even little by little, but as it stands, there’s always inconsistencies in the results of the games yearly.
I think if the current system is obsolete or does not wield much good results, then it is time to give others the chance to show what they can do.
ilang dekada taung hindi nkapsok sa FIBA World cup at ngaun dhil ky coach chot and all his coaching staff nka-isa pa tau..dont expect too much icpin din natin na talagang mhirap mkalaro ang malalaking line-up ng ibang bansa..maga2ling talaga tau..patuloy lng ntin suportahan ang GILAS para patuloy din clang gnahan mglaro..lets all pray for GILAS PILIPINAS & COACH CHOT REYES sa lahat pa ng magiging laro nila..PUSO!!!!!!!!!!!!
because of him nkrating ung pilipinas sa world cup, ambilis mgbgo ng tingin ng tao, pg panalo msaya pag tao sisihin yung coach, give him chance to be gilas coach

papalitan na sya (Coach Chot) kasi in two different tournaments sa international like FIBA world at ASIAN games parang walang pagbabago…walang adjustment nangyari players lng ngbago pero sa game plan ganun parin! ibigay na sa ibang COACH na deserving at mabilis mag switch ng game plan! para sa ganun lalaban ulit tayu sa international games. kay Coach Chot mag focus nlang sya sa PBA.
napanood ko yung laban ng gilas at South Korea I was certained that Gilas will win that game, But everything was just a dream for Gilas. Just imagine South korea tinalo nila last Fiba asia.During this game Gilas was 16 point advantage against South Korea and remember this advantage happens
at the midle of third quarter at natalo pa. ang tanong ko mga bano ba ang mga player natin o something wrong with the coaching? I respect Chot very much but he should think twice this time as a coach and a leader.
Si Coach Chot puro puso walang utak. Bakit expert ba si chot? Puro talo. If manalo wala naman Hidadi sa iran noong na champion sila sa jones cup. Sa Fiba, naka tsamba at home court. Wala pang utang na loob si douthit naman ang maliking factor naka pasok sila Fiba world. Tsamba naman sila nakapasok sa fiba world, if not for alapag. Sa asian games, wala ng tsamba.
I think chot deserves another chance.. 1st he made it to the world cup and who would expect na mananalo tayo ng kahit isang game nung una; madami ngang utak talangka na nagsabi tatambakan daw tayo pero hindi naman ganon yung nangyari 2nd madaming tao yung nagmamagaling sa basketball FACT TO CONSIDER gameplay ng import BLATCHE vs DOUTHIT.. Blatche makes his presence outside the 3pt lane which makes the center of other teams to move and guard him up ang nangyayari nakakadrive and score ang small men natin sa loob and blatche could also go in and post up for points which gives more threat and more attacking pattern/options for the team to score unlike Douthit na inside player lang talaga which makes the inside crowded at walang spacing and defense ng opponents ay magiging tight so only option ng small men ntn ay perimeter at 3 point shots.. sana basahin niyo ito wag magmagaling yung mga hindi alam ang simpleng logic na yun..
Isa ka na duon sa mga utak talangkang nagmamarunong. BOBO at HAMBOG yang idolo mong si Choke Reyes. Napakahina nang kukote sa mga in-game adjustments, pero napakahusay namang pumapel at magpa-pogi sa media after the game. Sobrang dada pag nagbubuhat ng kanyang bangko. Kapit-tuko sa kanyang pagiging head coach ng Gilas, wala talagang tunay na malasakit sa kapakanan at ikasusulong ng programa.

Retained Coach Chot Reyes, allow Andray Blatche and Jason Castro if he is already physically fit to play and replaced some players of Gilas Pilipinas with some prolific fil-ams, pba and collegiate players.
Bkt hnd natin sai bigyan ng last chance? Dba deserve naman ng lht un. Alam naman natin na sa pagkakamali din natin tau nato3. I’m sure!, mas pagbubutihin pa nia yan pagcocoach nia. Kung sakaling sa su2nod eh ganyan pa din at walang pgbabago eh de palitan!…………..
