Game Highlights:
– Jordan led by as much as 16 points, 27-11 in the 1st quarter
– Marcus Douthit led Smart Gilas with 19 points and 15 rebounds, Douthit injured in his ankle in the 3rd quarter but came back after a few minutes
– Marcio Lassiter played big in his 1st game in the FIBA Asia Championship scoring 14 points with 4 rebounds and 2 assists
– Jimmy Alapag scored in double figures with 11 points
– Chris Tiu scored 9 points, 7 in the 1st half
– Jordan had the edge in rebounding, 53-43
– Jordan placed the game under protest due to both teams being informed before the game that Lutz and Lassiter cannot play and then in the 1st quarter were already allowed to play already.

    cge maghanap kau ng pure blooded pinoy na matangkad,may good basketball skills at pwedeng pang international.kung magsalita kau parang possible hinihingi niu!meron nga pero mahirap wlang susuporta?bakit? kasi pilipinas to!!!..thats reality..go team pilipinas.manuod nalang ng basketball kesa mag criticize…

    • di aminado ka na di talaga pang basketball ang mga pure blood pinoy kasi di natin kayang makipagsabayan sa international games kung walang tulong ng mga mokong na mga nag pi-pinoyan na mga filams na yan! pwede tayong tawaging mga mandaraya, di na ko nagtataka, sa election na nga lang dto mandaraya na talaga.

        e kung mandaraya tayo. e di madaya din ang spain na kasalukuyang Fiba Europe Champion at ang France.

        Follow lang tayo sa FIBA rules, wala naman sa FIBA rules nga puro local lang ang pweding maag represent ng kanyang bansa. Ang nasa fiba rules pwede ang isang naturalised player at meron din karapatan ang mga players nga merong dalawang nationality nga pumili kung saan sila gusto mag represent.

      @taxfree: Honest correction lang po. Katana ang tawag sa sword di samurai. Tao yung samurai at ang weapon nila ang katana. peace!
